San Geronimo Paving, Phase 2
Description
Overview
The County’s unincorporated road network pavement condition has improved notably in the last decade due to concerted efforts to invest in preserving this infrastructure. The work to be conducted on Redwood Drive from Park Street to Carson Avenue, and Central Avenue from Carson Road to Railroad Avenue. The work will generally consists of full width overlay, conform grinding, and pavement marking. This is a joint project through a cooperative agreement with Marin Water.
Funding
The estimated $700,000 project is funded by the County's Road and Bridge Fund and a contribution from Marin Water in lieu of their standard trench paving work.
Traffic impacts
Construction will take place during daytime hours with traffic control measures. Five-minute delays are expected for lane closures, and where the roads are too narrow for a lane closure, there will be up to two days of road closures from 8AM to 5PM, which will be communicated and coordinated in advance directly with the residents. Access will always be provided for active emergency service vehicles. Every effort will be made to provide advanced notice and minimize inconvenience to residents.
