Description

Overview

The project includes pedestrian upgrades at three locations in unincorporated Marin County: Woodland Avenue at Auburn Street, North San Pedro Road at Schmidt Avenue, and McAllister Avenue at Stadium Way. The first location, the intersection of Woodland Ave and Auburn Street, scope includes construction of curb, gutter, sidewalk, curb ramps, a sidewalk extension/bulb out, bioretention, rectangular rapid flashing beacons (RRFB) signage and pavement markings. The second and third locations, North San Pedro Road and Schmidt Avenue in San Rafael and McAllister Avenue and Stadium Way in Kentfield, will both get RRFBs, pavement markings and signage only.

Funding

The estimated $236,000 project is being funded by a California Highway Safety Improvement Program (HSIP) grant.

Traffic Impacts

Construction activities will take place during daytime hours with traffic control measures in place. Traffic delays will be limited to 5 minutes.
