Lagoon Park Loop Gap Closure

Description

Overview

The Lagoon Park pathway is one of the most well-used and loved amenities at the Civic Center campus. Closing the gap between the bridge and Children’s Island with an accessible pathway will realize the vision of the current campus/VMA Master Plan. Goals are to provide for a fully accessible and durable pathway between Children’s Island and the eastern bridge, creating a looped pathway experience and including site amenities such as wayfinding signage, seating, trash/recycling receptacles and drinking fountains.

Funding

Cost estimate is $50,000 for design services, funded by the Capital Improvement Program. Construction estimate will be determined through design phase.

Public Impacts

None during the design phase. Construction will likely cause impacts to public access during work.
