Oakhurst Road Retaining Wall

Description

Overview

This project involves constructing a 62-linear foot retaining wall along Oakhurst Road in the California Park neighborhood to address slope instability in the roadway near the edge of the pavement.  The retaining wall will include an asphalt-concrete berm, a guard rail with pedestrian rail, and related incidental work.

Funding

Estimated project cost is $275K and will be funded from by the County's Road and Bridge Fund.

Public impacts

During the construction phase, there will be lane closures on Oakhurst between the hours of 8am to 5pm. During lane closures, expect delays of up to 10 minutes.  It is likely that there will be a few days that require full road closure for several hours at a time. Residents/property owners along the road will be given advance written notifications, with a schedule, ahead of any work that requires the road to be closed in order for them to adequately prepare.
