This is a completed project. You are in the Archived Projects section of the website. Active projects can be found on the Projects webpage.  Alternatively, you can learn more about repairs to other areas of Bolinas Road.

Description

The project will reconstruct approximately 120 feet of roadway where a slide has reduced the structural integrity of the road. The effort will include an earthwork roadway repair consisting of a shear key and buttress fill, as well as subsurface drainage. Additionally there will be asphalt resurfacing, shoulder backing and striping. To improve integrity and safety of the roadway, the project will also be making roadway upgrades at the culvert near milepost 5.73. The associated drainage improvements require permitting from regulatory agencies.

Traffic impacts

It is expected that this project will require closure of Fairfax Bolinas Road from Azalea Hill to Ridgecrest during the construction phase. More information will be available closer to the anticipated construction start date.
