Redwood Drive Slide Repair
Description
This is a completed project. You are in the Archived Projects section of the website. Active projects can be found on the Projects webpage.
Overview
The 2023 storms and heavy rain caused extensive damage to the roadway, which resulted in a 60-foot-long closure between 170-190 Redwood Drive in Woodacre. The affected slide area extended 50 feet downslope. To restore the road to its pre-disaster function, a new concrete retaining wall with drilled piers was constructed.
Funding
The estimated cost is $600,000. FEMA reimbursement is being sought as the damage was caused by a federally declared disaster event.
Traffic impacts
Road was closed due to the slide damage prior to the project beginning, and remained closed until project was completed. Impacted residents had access to their homes via Park Street and Carson Road.
