Overview
Lomita Drive Road Rehabilitation is a sidewalk gap closure project that will construct sections of new sidewalk along the north side of Lomita Drive to provide a continuous path of travel for pedestrians. This multi-use road from Edna Maguire Elementary School to Horse Hill/Corte Madera bike path will also receive pavement resurfacing and storm drain improvements.
Funding
Project is estimated to cost $1.8 million. The funding comes from a Metropolitan Transportation Commission (MTC) grant for $130,000 and the remainder is covered by the County’s Road & Bridge Fund.
Traffic Impacts
Residents that may be potentially impacted have received notifications of the upcoming project. They will receive more notices as the project progresses. The County will coordinate construction scheduling with the school. Project required lane closures and short duration road closures will be implemented during construction.
