2022 Central Region Road Rehabilitation
This is a completed project. You are in the Archived Projects section of the website. Active projects can be found on the Projects webpage.
Description
Overview
This rehabilitation projects includes pavement resurfacing on approximately 6 "lane miles" of roadway, asphalt dig-outs to repair areas of isolated base failure, pavement grinding, minor storm drainage improvements, installation of 7 ADA compliant curb ramps and roadway striping.
Funding
The estimated $2.56 million project is funded by the Transportation Authority of Marin's Measure AA and Measure B funds.
Traffic Impacts
Construction will take place during the daytime hours with traffic control measures. Work shift road closures are required for grinding and again for paving. For residential roads, we expect the road to be totally closed twice during the project, for a maximum of 8 hours per day. For arterial and collector roads, we expect traffic control and lane closures with 10 minutes traffic delays during the lane closures.
Project information notices will be issued by the contractor once their schedule is established. Property owners/residents along the roads scheduled for paving are also given advance written notifications ahead of any work that requires their road to be closed in order for them to adequately prepare. After paving the road, the public will notice an immediate improvement to the road’s aesthetics and rideability.
