Fairfax-Bolinas Road CONDITION UPDATES, thank you for your patience: At milepost 5.73, on weekdays, Fairfax-Bolinas Road is closed from Azalea Hill to Ridgecrest in West Marin. On weekends, the section of road will be open, but traffic will be routed through a single-lane with controlled two-way access. See project webpage for details.

Weight limits  

  • Motor vehicles of a gross weight in excess of three tons are prohibited on Paradise Drive.  
  • Motor vehicles of a gross weight in excess of fourteen thousand pounds are prohibited on Via Escondida, between the boundary of the City of Novato and the southeasterly side of Calle Paseo. For this weight limit the exemptions of California Vehicle Code Section 35714 do not apply.  
  • Motor vehicles of a gross weight in excess of fourteen thousand pounds are prohibited on Miller Creek Avenue.
