“After relocating to the Bay Area from the Midwest in 2006, I began my engineering career working for the California Department of Transportation Construction Division in Marin County. Managing construction projects on the State Highway System taught me how to navigate through challenges under pressure, helped me to become a better project engineer, and made me fall in love with the diverse and unsurpassed beauty of Marin County. In 2017, I transitioned from state to local government to become the City Engineer and eventually the Public Works Director for the City of Novato, where I enjoyed engaging with residents, partner agencies, and a dedicated team of employees to solve complex problems and enhance the quality of life in the city. It’s been an honor and a pleasure to join the Marin County Public Works Executive Team, and I look forward to continuing to serve the Marin community through the development and delivery of quality projects and programs. When I am not at work, I enjoy cheering on my two sons at their soccer and flag football games.”
